Helping families find a sense of normalcy.
One Family Gives is One Family Brewing's official non-profit organization created with a goal of helping individuals and families in need.
Whether it’s a child who has lost a parent and needs help with a scholarship or a child who is suffering from cancer, we want to help provide a sense of normalcy to that family or child.
It could be an elderly person who needs their lawn cut, assisting in donations for disaster relief efforts or a wounded warrior who needs a ramp built into their house. We will help by providing financial assistance and support.
How It Started
A response that became a mission.
Founded by David Keuhner in 2020.
Over the years, David has helped many Gold Star families and wounded warriors and handed out clothes to area homeless in Washington, DC. But in September 2018, when Hurricane Florence hit Wilmington, NC, he had to do something more.
Two of his good friends, Wes and Travis, opened a restaurant called Rebellion in Wilmington, NC and he asked one question: “What do you all need?” The response was, “Anything and everything.” He asked his friend Kat Huff if she wanted to join him on the journey, and immediately, she said yes.
They began working through their networks to find a moving truck to bring supplies down to the hurricane victims and started asking people for supplies. The response was so overwhelming, they needed to add another truck.
Loaded with everything from dog food to diapers, two 28-foot trucks with over $50,000 worth of supplies started the journey to Wilmington, NC to supply those in need. The devastation was nothing like they had ever seen. The need was overwhelming and at that time, David realized he wanted to do more.
You don’t have to be family to be related.
